Research Interests
Dr. Fu has been engaged in pushing the boundary of biocatalysis. His group is interested in discovering new enzymes or unlocking new reactivities by exploiting non-natural mechanisms with photochemical strategies to address challenges in organic synthesis. He is also interested in developing enzymatic or chemoenzymatic cascade to prepare chiral pharmaceutical molecules. In Med Chem part, he is interested in developing anti-bacterial/virus drugs.
