Research Field:
Microbial Natural Products Chemistry and Synthetic Biology
Research Interests:
The overall goal of the research is to discovery new biologically active natural products with diverse biological activities from microbes, mainly including actinomycetes and fungi. Our research focused on discovering bioactive novel secondary metabolites from Microorganisms collected from medicinal plants, lichen, desert, Tibet, ocean, and polar region. In the course of the study, synthetic biology approach containing genome mining, gene regulation, and gene knockout were used in order to produce more bioactive molecules. Over fifty articles have been published on Organic Letters, Journal of Natural Products, et al.
